The four leg chair, braced for harder use
Where chairs take real punishment — a busy secondary classroom, a dining hall — the braced version adds a steel cross brace between the legs, stiffening the frame against the sideways loads that eventually loosen an unbraced chair.
The shell is injection moulded polypropylene with a glass fibre content for stiffness, on a powder coated steel frame. It carries an antimicrobial additive, a fire resistant additive and a 115kg weight tolerance, and the whole shell is recyclable at the end of its life.
It is certified to both parts of BS EN 1729, the education seating standard covering strength, stability and ergonomics.

ONE MOULDED SHELL
Single shell construction
Injection moulded in one piece, with compound curves shaping the back and seat so the chair flexes where it should and stays rigid everywhere else.
BRACED FRAME
Steel cross brace
A brace between the legs stiffens the frame against racking, the sideways movement that does for most classroom chairs in the end.
EASY TO KEEP CLEAN
Antimicrobial and fire resistant
The polypropylene carries an antimicrobial additive that kills bacteria and inhibits fungal growth, plus a fire resistant additive. It wipes clean and is 100% recyclable.

Tested against both parts of the education seating standard, covering strength and stability as well as ergonomic requirements.
