A skid frame that slides instead of scraping
On a hard floor, a skid frame is kinder than four separate legs: it slides quietly rather than scraping, and spreads the load over two rails. It suits assembly halls, labs and any room without carpet.
The shell is injection moulded polypropylene with a glass fibre content for stiffness, on a powder coated steel frame. It carries an antimicrobial additive, a fire resistant additive and a 115kg weight tolerance, and the whole shell is recyclable at the end of its life.
It is certified to both parts of BS EN 1729, the education seating standard covering strength, stability and ergonomics.

Chair Features
ONE MOULDED SHELL
Single shell construction
Injection moulded in one piece, with compound curves shaping the back and seat so the chair flexes where it should and stays rigid everywhere else.
SKID FRAME
Non-marking feet
Powder coated steel skids with non-marking feet, so chairs slide quietly and hard floors stay unmarked.
EASY TO KEEP CLEAN
Antimicrobial and fire resistant
The polypropylene carries an antimicrobial additive that kills bacteria and inhibits fungal growth, plus a fire resistant additive. It wipes clean and is 100% recyclable.
CERTIFIED TO BS EN 1729
Parts 1 and 2
Tested against both parts of the education seating standard, covering strength and stability as well as ergonomic requirements.

RATED FOR THE SCHOOL DAY
8 hour rating
Specified for a full day of classroom use, day in and day out through the school year.
PEACE OF MIND
5 year guarantee
Components are guaranteed for five years, which on classroom seating means a chair bought for this year’s intake is still in service several intakes later.
Seating a whole classroom?
The Arc range shares one shell across four leg, skid, swivel and high chair frames, so a school can mix frames and keep a single look.
